Pen & Ink Project

                                                 
                                                                 "Nighttime Mountains"
The first picture is of my sketch in pen for the final draft. My first idea was drawing the body of a woman and adding designs around her body. In the final draft however I decided to keep the mountains and add designs around that. For the mountains I took drops of ink and water and smeared them making it look as if it was shaded. I did the same to the sky and ground. The trees were sketched out in ink before filled out by hatching. The top of the mountains were shaded by using stippling. By the time I finished all the details in the picture I noticed the trees looked to dark. So I used a white ink pen to help define the outline of the branches of leaves.
