"Forbidden Love"

These are some of my sketches in my sketch book. The last picture is one of my double page spreads, it was a practice sketch. I love the way the colors turned out from my watercolors. For our two page spread we were supposed to draw about our future desires that were put into a first sketch. In my page spread I drew a cherry blossom tree that represented my future happiness in whatever profession or dream I chose. The Japanese words are meant to  tell of what desires each person on the page holds. Back in the dynasty years of Japan two men together were seen as a humiliation. The cause of my work is because I personally think that "You can't help who you love." so you shouldn't be judged by that.
